The Aviary system offers the producer the most open system on the market, with its staggered tier design and unobstructed views of all tiers and the nest simultaneously. Furthermore, the Combo superior design ensures that easy access to individual tiers can be achieved. With the slatted area in front of the nest strong enough to be used as a catwalk for the inspection of birds . All factors which optimizes the conditions for good management and performance. NEST BOXES
In co-operation with poultry owners, veterinarians and our research department we have designed the Easy- Laying Nest. The Easy Nest stands for flexibility and the most efficient use of house space. This guarantees the customer maximum stocking density and a minimum of manual labour. The nests are made of coated waterproof plywood which has all the advantages of plastic and the added advantage of being more pleasing and comfortable for the bird. Astroturf mats are used for the collection of perfect quality eggs and they create an ideal surface for the hens. Eggs roll gently from the Astroturf mat to the perforated eggbelt. The eggbelt moves the eggs to the packing room for processing.
NEST BOXES
The nest is designed as a double nest. Hens can therefore see each other from both sides, and the nest thus seems twice as large. It provides hens with a reassuring feeling of maximum safety during egg laying. The visibility in the nest makes it possible for the hens to see whenever there is an egg on the egg belt, causing them to seek into the nest. Thanks to their special design, LANDMECO laying nests also provide some 25% additional space.
